Our Centre does not only possess capabilities in development of advanced materials and technologies but also of carrying out studies on innovation ecosystems. Our colleague Krzysztof Mieszkowski together with Javier Barbero from Joint Research Centre have published the article in Regional Studies: Territorial patterns of R&D+I grants supporting Smart Specialisation projects funded from the ESIF in Poland.

The authors identified the patterns of factors associated with the number of grant-funded projects per county with the European Structural and Investment Funds under Thematic Objective 1 for 2014-Sept2018 (4.276 projects on 3rd Sept 2018). Furthermore, the author also addressed the aspect of cooperation within these projects.
